HOPE

| Hi! My name is Hope! I am
writing to you from the Rainbow Bridge. I want to share my story
with you and why this website was formed. I was 3-4 years old. Unfortunately, I can't tell you much about my past because the rescuers don't have that. You see, I was hit by a car and was taken to the pound. The pound had me for almost a week before a rescue group came to get me. They knew I had injuries and just gave me pain medication and an antibiotic. The rescue who saved me took me to their vet immediately and it was discovered my injuries were horrendous. I had a broken leg, hip, and tail. There was massive injury to my bladder where I had no control over my bodily functions. The vet provided a thorough examination and said I would never be able to walk again and I would live in misery because of the pain. I was sent to the Rainbow Bridge where I wouldn't have to suffer any longer and I can now play and run with the other dogs here at the Bridge. God is here with us and keeping a wonderful eye on all of us. He has a helper by the name of Dotti Dulaney who is helping him. She is a fellow rescuer that passed a year in 2005 and now she is here with us having a grand ol' time. As you can see from my pictures I enjoyed my last night with my foster mommy, Melissa. She took really good care of me, spoiled and pampered me. I am very grateful to her and all the rescue people who were involved in getting me out of the shelter and showing me how much they cared. I know they did everything in their power to do what they could to help me. |
